Very annoying, because you mainly experience this pain when you move. What can be done about window legs? Luckily a lot! One of our physiotherapists at Fysi Tilburg first investigates the cause of your claudication, or intermittent claudication. The physio will draw up a personal plan that takes your wishes and goals into account. No matter how unattractive it is to continue moving with this pain, this is necessary to get rid of intermittent claudication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do mannequin legs form?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To know what can be done about window legs, it is crucial to find out what causes them. With intermittent claudication, the leg muscles do not receive enough blood, and thus oxygen, making movement painful. This is due to the narrowing of your arteries. Arterial narrowing can occur due to various causes. Consider smoking, being overweight, high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure and\/or insufficient exercise. It may be hereditary whether you are more likely to have narrowed arteries in your legs. As you can see, there are many factors involved that you can largely tackle yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can be done about window dressing in the short term?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you know what the cause (or causes) is, you can take more targeted action against your sagging legs. For example, stop smoking and live a healthier lifestyle by eating more nutritious food and exercising more. For example, try out some walking exercises first. Walk until your symptoms flare up and then walk another ten steps. It doesn&#039;t hurt if this feels unpleasant, so you challenge yourself in a good way. Stand still for a moment until the complaints have disappeared and repeat this exercise for 15 to 30 minutes. You do this three times a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work with the physio to determine the cause of the pain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the supervision of your physiotherapist, you will take a walking test to clarify your condition. Based on this, our physio can create a training schedule and teach you correct running technique. Little by little you can move more pain-free this way. Just remember that it will probably hurt a little more at first because you&#039;re moving more than you are now. Still, the result is completely worth it! After a few months you can walk pain-free for much longer than at the moment. Are you unsure about some moves?
