Do you have neck pain? That's annoying. Neck complaints can hinder your freedom of movement. Looking left and right is more difficult, so you cannot cycle or drive properly. Sports is less pleasant with neck pain. In fact, you only find out with pain in your neck that you tense the muscles in your neck for almost everything - no matter how small the movement is. With the right exercises you can solve your neck complaints. Some exercises already provide immediate relief. Discover in this blog post what our physiotherapist recommends if you have neck pain.

Do the exercises carefully

Time to read about the exercises that help with neck complaints. Before you get started with these exercises, we want to impress something on your heart. Do not perform an exercise too quickly, but at a leisurely pace. Make sure you don't force anything, because the exercises shouldn't hurt enormously. We recommend that you really take your time. Just keep moving your neck and go about your daily activities.

Rotate your neck from side to side

Sit upright in a chair with your back against a backrest. Relax your shoulders. Look over your left shoulder as far as you can and hold for about five seconds. Then look over your right shoulder and hold again for five seconds. You repeat this a few times.

Tilt your head to the side

Stay in the chair. First, tilt your head sideways to your left shoulder as far as possible. Hold for five seconds, then tilt your head to your right shoulder. You hold this again for a few seconds. You also repeat this exercise a few times. And remember: always do it at a leisurely pace and with policy.

Tilt your head forward and back

You can also perform this exercise while sitting on your chair. Gently tilt your head forward with your chin towards your chest. Then try to tilt your head back as far as possible. Repeat this exercise a few more times.

With this treatment method, we briefly puncture muscles with a needle, which creates tension for a while. The muscle immediately relaxes afterwards, making this a quick way to combat muscle complaints.
