The knee is one of the largest joints in the body. It connects the thigh bone (femur) to the shin bone (tibia) and is made up of several structures that work together to provide movement and stability. These structures include bones, cartilage (meniscus), ligaments, and muscles. The knee primarily allows for bending (flexion) and straightening (extension) of the leg, but also plays a role in rotation and side-to-side movements.

Symptoms of knee pain

\

Pain when bending or straightening the knee;

\

Swelling or stiffness around the knee joint;

\

Instability or sagging of the knee;

\

Pain in the front or side of the knee when loaded.
